Kyle's Kreation - Abstract Lego Mosaic

We had a Lego store open up near us a couple of years ago and the Lego obsession quickly followed. We found out about the Lego Brick Fair in Chantilly, VA last year and loved it so much that we went back again this year. It's a big display of amazing Lego creations. Kyle was inspired to create this mosaic after seeing some of these mosaics at the Brick Fair.

Here's another fun mosaic Kyle made when he didn't have enough bricks to make a 3-D Spongebob:

Scissor Man

First Kyle filled the handles of the scissors with clay. Then he looked at them and thought they looked like eyes and eyebrows so he added a mouth and voila... scissor man was born. SAM_2346-1

Kyle's Kreations 9/8/11

Kyle loves stacking things and arranging his many collections into "installations" throughout the house. Some are small like this monster truck stack:
Others are a bit bigger:
No item is off limits in these installations. Kyle sees just about everything as a potential piece of his art puzzle. Stay tuned for many more installations.

Kyle's Kreation July 3, 2011

Well of course after getting Kyle's blog up and running, we had some problems uploading photos, so we couldn't upload any of his creations. Murphy's Law.  It looks like we've gotten it fixed, so we'll be adding several creations over the next couple of days to make up for lost time.  Here's are Kyle's creations from July 3rd.

Welcome!

Kyle is a typical 8 1/2 year old who loves art. He's seen his Mom blog and share her creations online and he decided he wanted to do the same thing. We decided on a summer project where he would create something every day and share it on his blog. If he really enjoys blogging, we'll keep it going past summer. There are no rules to what he can create or what materials he uses to create with so his only limit is his imagination. Here's a little about Kyle.
