Kyle's Kreations - How to Draw

More creations from the "How to Draw" book series.  Kyle seems to just draw from the final picture rather than actually follow the directions.  We've decided to collaborate on a necklace of the flying fish.  We'll post the final piece once it's finished.

Kyle's Kreations - Makin Money

Kyle's been sick the last few days but he felt well enough today to make some money, literally. He has created his own money "Kylly Dollars".  Kylly (pronounced Killy) is a nickname his brother gave him. Gotta love the half dollars!

Kyle's Kreations - Monster Jam 2012

Kyle went to Monster Jam yesterday.  If you're not familiar with Monster Jam, it's monster trucks racing and jumping over crazy obstacles.  It's super loud and everything a boy could wish for: dirt, big trucks, crashes, crushing cars ( and RV's) and loud engines.  The show was being taped for the Speed Channel, so Kyle made his own sign rooting for his favorite truck, Grave Digger.  He held it high whenever Grave Digger and his favorite driver Dennis Anderson were on the field. He hopes he'll be able to see himself and his sign when the show airs later this year.

Here he is with his sign:

The Monster Jam show has inspired a new creation that Kyle hopes to share this summer complete with tutorials so that you can make them too.

Kyle's Kreations - Globe turned Space Helmet

One thing Kyle loves to do is take older pieces of art and make them into new ones.  While I get pretty attached to my finished pieces, he loves evolving them into something new.  He recently made a space helmet from a paper mache globe he made in school.  He brought it home and cut out the eye, mouth and ear holes as well as a hole for his head to go through.  He then covered it in checkerboard duct tape and aluminum foil for just the right amount of shine.  Then he took a plastic sandwich bag and covered the eye hole.  Finally he added an aluminum foil cape to the back.  Check back next week as the helmet might just become something else!

Kyle's Kreations - Ipod Doodles

Kyle was doodling while looking at his iPod so he decided to design his own.  he must have been looking at basketball too because he also designed a New York Knicks Edition iPad.  Perhaps product design is in his future.  Of course he also threw in a couple of new car designs.  I love that he experiments in new shapes for cars.  How fun would it be to drive that little triangle car and seriously who wouldn't want some of those bright wheels.

Kyle's Invention - Happy Cut Scissors

For a class assignment Kyle and a friend had a to invent something to help them solve a problem.  They invented scissors that help you cut in a straight line.  They called them "Happy Cut Scissors" and presented to them fellow students, teachers and parents in their school's Enrichment Fair.  Here's Kyle using his invention:
